I’ve been re-reading Dune because of the upcoming movie version and it’s reigniting all of my really intense feelings about Leto/Jessica! I love them and would love to see them when she’s pregnant, either one of the canon pregnancies or feel free to invent your own. Dealing with their enemies wanting to kill the heir, dealing with Jessica’s monuments decisions to go agains the Bene Gesserit and have a boy, etc.

Maybe she needs an heir to solidify her rule. Maybe she wasn’t as infertile as the witch said. Or maybe she takes somebody else’s kid and makes them her heir? Or just is sad about not being able to have her own kids. And by babies here I’m good with human or dragon kind.

They’re such a cute couple! I’d love more of them trying to pretend it’s just for their jobs/not a real romance even though it clearly is. Maybe the baby is a wanted decision, or an accident, or a mission assigned to them - they go along because they really do want a baby? Or trying to balance pregnancy/a new baby with their spy/assassin lifestyles! Note: I didn’t include Anya in the tags because I don’t need or expect her to be in the fic, but I do love her, so please just don’t have them throw her back in the orphanage once they have their own kid or anything like that.
