Trick or Treat Exchange 2019
Hello anon creator!
I'm
As a general note, please feel free to disregard the letter if you already know what you'd like to write/draw based on what character you matched on. I selected trick and treat on everything, because I am both a fan of things sweet/fluffy and horrifying/tragic. I'm into a very wide range of tone and story/art types - I like comedy, I like tragedy, I like fluff, I like soul-crushing angst, I like filthy porn, I like gentle hand-holding, I like established relationships, I like getting together stories, I like realistic art, I like stylized art, I like Eastern and Western styles, etc, etc. Also, for art, there's nothing I like reading that would be put off by in visual form.
I really enjoy gen, and would love it for any of these characters, but for all of them I've also listed pairings I like if you want to write romance or smut. In terms of shipping, I don't have any preferences as to topping/bottoming, or for the darker things I don't have any issues regarding which gender/character is doing/receiving or anything like that.
Also, because this is a Halloween exchange, I really want to emphasize how much I love Halloween! I like ghosts/hauntings/horror, and I love it as a holiday where people think of the boundary between the living and the dead as being weak. At the same time, I ALSO really love it as a holiday where people get do dress up as whatever they want in fancy costumes and eat ludicrous amounts of candy they got from strangers! For the Earth-based canons where it makes sense for the time and place I would love something Halloween-themed, and for the ones that don't have Halloween please feel free to make up a space/fantasy holiday that gets at whatever parts of the holiday you like.

GAME OF THRONES
Margaery Tyrell
AU where she survives! Or is killed later! Or something sweet set in Highgarden. I would also love her plotting with her grandmother to gain influence, or something where she defeats Cersei - and then goes on to have to try to take on Dany? Maybe with a peace offering? Or I would love something dark with her in the Sept, or Cersei taking some other form of revenge against her. Also, given how popular she was with the common people, I’d love something that looks at how people remember her in history after she’s killed. Or something with her getting a chance to rule outright! I like so many of her relationships - I would love to get something with her and her family, and I also ship her with Sansa, Brienne, Cersei and Dany.
Missandei
Again, and AU where she survives! Does she stay sort of a voice of reason and does that change the way things play out with Dany? Or something where she escapes and makes it back to Naath. I would also really love something about her childhood/growing up - how she was taken from Naath in the first place, what her life was like as a slave. Or something set while she was running things in Dany’s absence! I would also love to see something where Dany wins and Missandei is alive and see what she’d be like running things in Westeros. I’d also love something dealing with her feelings on how quickly her life changed after Dany took her from the masters. If you’re interested in romance/ships I like her with Greyworm, Dany and Jorah!
Tywin Lannister
I would love backstory, or art of him in his younger days! Something dealing with his attitude towards his father and older relatives and how they let House Lannister decline, or something showing him raining hell down on House Reyne. I would also love anything to do with with Joanna! I’d love a treat about their relationship, or something darker dealing with how her death affected him. Or I would love something dealing with politics of King’s Landing pre-show, or I would love AUs - something where he treated his children better, or how he would have done if the Rebellion had never happened, or if he’d still been alive when Dany came over or the Night King descended. Or any kind of second marriage, even if it’s just for show. I like his disaster of a relationship with his kids and his surprisingly good one with Arya, I’d love romance/ship fic with him and Joanna, and I’d love him interacting with his contemporaries like Olenna.
Horror of Dracula (1958)
Van Helsing
I would love anything involving Van Helsing - the Hammer version is my favorite version of the character, I love how determined he is. I would love something about his first run-in with the supernatural, or how he got involved with hunting Vampires. Or how did he come to suspect Dracula? And how did he enlist Jonathan to his cause? Or something where he gets caught by Dracula! Bad end where he ends up turned! Or Dracula just keeping him around as a human to gloat at. I would also love something dealing with the aftermath, or maybe something sweet with him and the Holmwoods celebrating Dracula’s (apparent) defeat, or something with them visiting later. If you’re interested in writing ship fic I like him with Dracula, Mina, Jonathan, or pretty much any vampire character. Or if you want to get into the other movies in the series I also love him with Marianne!
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Ava Starr
I love her so much, and I would love either terrible tragic backstory or sweet recovery and making friends fic/art for her! I would love something with her as a child with Bill, or being forced into questionable missions for SHIELD, or trying to figure out a way to fix herself. Or what is her life like now that she's been stabilized? How does she feel about being able to really touch people for the first time in years? Or just live and walk around without being in pain? How does she feel about the past things she's done? And what is she doing with her life now that she has real choices? Ship-wise I like her with Hope and Janet, and I'd also love to see her interacting more with Bill and Hank. Or Ava/Janet/Hank or Ava/Hope/Scott! Or send her to the Avengers with Wanda or to space with Carol!
Carol Danvers
I would love to see more of her before the movie - meeting Maria, or meeting Mar-Vell, or waking up and learning to work with the Kree while she’s got amnesia. What was her training/brainwashing like? Or I would also love to know what she gets up to after the movie! Fluff with her visiting back home when she can, or settling in with the Skrulls. Or epic space battles, or having to deal with all things she did while she was working with the Kree. Or something with her testing the limits of her powers, or maybe having to deal without them or finding vulnerabilities, or just being frustrated by situations that can’t be fixed through force. If you’d like to write ship fic I like her with Maria, Talos, Soren, Mar-Vell, Fury, Minn-Erva or any of the Kree team, the SI, and Natasha.
Maria Rambeau
For Maria I would really love either domesticity - her and Carol building a family together, celebrating holidays with Monica, etc. - or something where she gets thrust into the action again! I would also love something with her first meeting Carol, or their involvement with Mar-Vell and Pegasus. Or maybe after the events of the movie Fury wants her for SHIELD? I also love the idea of Kree/other aliens snooping around trying to find the tesseract/some way of brining down Captain Marvel. Maybe she gets kidnapped! Or an AU where Mar-Vell tells her and Carol the truth earlier, or I would also love an AU where she’s flying the plane and gets powered up by the explosion instead. If you are interested in ships I love her with Carol, Mar-Vell, and Fury!
Talos
I would love backstory - we know the Skrulls lost their homeworld, but was he alive to see it or have they been on the run his whole lifetime? I would love to see anything with him meeting Soren, or how he met Mar-Vell and ended up trusting her enough to send all of his people off with her. I would also love something set in his years while he was separated - missions he was on, sneaking around and spying, how he handled missing his family, etc. I'd also love something set after the movie - where are they going, trying to find other cells of Skull survivors, etc. Or visiting Earth again, I would love him messing with Keller! I love the Skrulls in the movie generally and would love any kind of world building or slice of life about how they live, and in what ways Talos is normal and what things set him apart. For ships, I like him with Soren, Carol, Fury, and Mar-Vell, or any combination of those people!
Soren
I would love to see something about the Skrulls-Kree war from her POV - was the homeworld already lost by the time she was born, or did she see it destroyed? I’d love to see how she met Talos, or how they first met Mar-Vell. What was the separation like for her? What was it like being stuck on the cruiser with no way to contact anyone on the outside? What if they hadn’t been found - at what point would they have decided they needed to move on? Or something with her using her shapeshifting to help Mar-Vell get established on Earth. I’d also love to see something set after the movie - reunion with Talos, getting used to moving on from Earth, finding a home, or trying to protect her family & people from the ongoing war. What if she got captured by the Kree??? I really love her with her family, and for shipfic I like her with Talos, Carol, and Mar-Vell.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Bodhi Rook
I love him, and the way he was so determined to see his mission through. And I have so many questions and things I want to see with him! What was his life like growing up? Why did he decide to become a pilot, and what happened to his family after that? What were things like for him as a pilot before he met Galen? What would have happened to him if he'd been caught by the Empire before he made it to Saw? How deeply did the Bor Gullet end up affecting him? If he had survived, what would he have gone on to do after Scarif? How would he have fit in with the Alliance? What would he have done after the fall of the Empire? If you want to write ship fic with him, I like him with Galen, Jyn, Luke, Leia, Krennic and Bor Gullet!
Galen Erso
So much history! I would love to know what life was like for him early in the Futures Program, or on Lah'mu! Or later, what life was like for him working for Krennic on Eadu? How did he pull himself through the day? How much freedom did he have? How much did everybody but Krennic know about the circumstances surrounding his presence? Or how would life for him and his family have turned out if he had fled directly to the Rebellion instead of trying to hide on Lah'mu? What would have happened if he'd survived Eadu? Or what if Krennic had never found him on Lah'mu? I always want more of him interacting with Jyn, either as a child or as an adult, and I ship him with Lyra, Krennic, Bodhi, Cassian, Vader, Saw, Qi'ra, very nearly everybody he has ever or might have ever talked to.
Jyn Erso
I always want more backstory - what her life was like between being left on Lah'mu and being picked up again by Cassian at the beginning of the movie? There's so much there I want to read about, especially how her sense of herself and her family changes over time. What kind of fights was she in? How did life as her various different aliases vary? How did she relate to the other members of Saw's gang? Alternatively, I would love anything where she survives Scarif - what would she do from there? How would she adjust once the war was over? That I would love wish fulfillment AUs where one or both of her parents survive somehow and she gets to have that (or you could just have them survive and then kill them again a little later). Or, really, any kind of canon-divergent AU. As far as relationships go, I would love more of her with her family, and I also like her with Bodhi, Cassian, Enfys, Qi'ra, Leia, Luke, Mothma, and Krennic.
Lyra Erso
I want more of her - I'd love either backstory, what her life was like as a child/in college, or what her early relationship with Galen was like. I'd also love something set while she was in prison on Vaalt. Or any kind of thing about what her life is like on Lah'mu! I'd also love an AU where she lives - either she goes with Jyn instead of going back for Galen and ends up raising her daughter on the run, or where Krennic's men manage to avoid killing her and she ends up captured by the Empire as well. I would also love more drama with her relationship with Krennic! I would love to see more her relationship with Jyn, and for pairings I love her with Galen, Nari, Saw, Mothma, Krennic or Bodhi.
Orson Krennic
I love how he can be so smart and calculating and manipulative in some respects, and just utterly self-destructive in others. I'd love anything with him - struggling for position right out of the academy, or trying to hold Project Celestial Power together after Galen leaves. What happens to him when there's really no higher position attainable for him to grasp at? I'd also love anything about his childhood! I'd also love him interacting with other Imperials in pretty much any capacity! Or where does he end up if Galen's message never reached got past Saw, and the Death Star was a huge success going forward? Does he finally get to meet Palpatine? Or under what circumstances would he maybe defect? If you want to write shipfic/smut, I love him with Galen, Lyra, Jyn, Brierly Ronan, Thrawn, Tarkin, Qi'ra, Dryden, and Vader.

Meiou Setsuna | Sailor Pluto
My oldest favorite! It’s all media types, so for the record I’m familiar with fic/art based on the manga, the original anime, and Crystal and would like any of them. I love the door, and I would love something dealing with the soul crushing loneliness of her guarding it! Or backstory/worldbuilding about how that arrangement came to be? I would also love something sweet with her being friends with Chibi-Usa, or co-parenting Hotaru with Haruka and Michiru. Or fighting monsters, or having trouble in time! Or something to do with death/rebirth, or I also love all of her attacks. For ships, I like her with Queen Serenity, Haruka/Michiru, Minako, and Dark Lady.
Solo: A Star Wars Story
Qi’ra
I would love more backstory - what are the things she's done that she's most ashamed of? How did end up moving from the White Worms to such a position of power in Crimson Dawn? What motivates her to keep moving forward, and how does she handle that streak of sentimentality she still seems to carry with her? And what kind of leader will she be going forward? Does she have some kind of end goal, or is the goal just to survive as long as she can? I would love either her coming back to the light at some point or just getting harsher over time, and I would also love anything dealing with her clothing/sense of style! If you want to write ship fic or smut, I love her with Enfys, Dryden, L3-37, Jyn, Aphra, and Lady Proxima. I'm also really interested in how the syndicates balance their position within the Empire, and I'd love to see her with Tarkin, Krennic, Galen, Thrawn, Pryce, or Sloane.
Enfys Nest
I would love anything about her childhood, her relationship with her mother, or any kind of adventure with her and her group raiding Syndicates and Imperials. How do common, unaffiliated people see her, and how does she want to be seen? What inspires her to take off her mask and explain herself to the Millennium Falcon group instead of solving the problem through violence? Does she consider herself and her group a part of the Alliance proper, or are they a separate piece of Rebellion? I would also really like to see how she adjusts after the fall of the Empire. Or anything dealing with the swoopbikes or her group’s weapon/armor! Or trying to go undercover in the Crimson Dawn! For shipping/romance I really like her with Qi’ra, Jyn, Lyra or Mon Mothma.
Star Trek: Alternate Original Series
Jaylah
I love Jaylah and I want anything to do with her! How much does she remember about her birth planet? What was it like for her growing up alone, with nothing except videos & music for company? What is her life like at the Academy? Is it hard being around people again, or is she happy about the change? What kind of education track does she end up on? When she graduates, is she going to go straight to the Enterprise? If so, how does she blend in with the rest of the crew? I would love anything with her going on adventures and getting to explore new planets, either as a cadet or as an Enterprise crew member. I love her character design, and I like her both in her original costume or in one of those fantastic bright TOS era uniforms. I ship her with anyone from the Enterprise crew, or Michael Burnham! And if you want to do crossovers I also really like they idea of her with Rey or Jyn from Star Wars.
Star Trek: Discovery
Michael Burnham
She’s so smart and compassionate, but even though I think she was clearly loved her upbringing still left her an emotional mess - I’d love to see something dealing with her as a child, with either the Burnhams or Spock and Amanda, or the Mirror Universe version of her raised by the Emperor! I would love some kind of spore/time/universe warp where she ends up melded with her Mirror Universe counterpart generally. I would also love her adjusting to the the Shenzhou, or while she’s in prison, or shifting from being alone in prison to having friends on the Discovery. I also love all kinds of traditional Trek tropes! Exploring new worlds, running into new barely understood forms of life, transporter accidents, etc. If you like ship fic, I love her with Philippa, Tilly, Saru, Ash, Katrina, and Lorca. Both Prime and Mirror versions!
Michael Philippa Georgiou
I’d love to know how she became Emperor - did she inherit it, or fight for it, or was it a mixture of both things? What made her decide she wanted to adopt a child - had she planned to adopt, or was it a whim or opportunity she seized in the moment? How did she handle it when her Michael died? I'd also love anything action - putting down rebellions, cleaning up after Lorca's attempted coup, or how she first decided Kelpiens were tasty. Or anything with her interacting with mirror versions of the rest of the Discovery crew- with Captain Killy, with poor Mirror Saru, or with any of the others. Or more of her terrorizing the poor normal versions! Or tempting upstanding moral Starfleet officers with ruthlessness and murder! I ship her with pretty much anyone you could write, honestly, including all versions of Michael, Tilly, Saru, Katrina, and Lorca.
Saru
Something with Saru getting to be captain! Or I also love his relationship with his sister, I would love to see more of their upbringing and more world building about Kelpien society. Or nice reunion fic after the Discovery somehow makes it back from the future! I would also love something with him as a Starlet Cadet, or early on in his relationship with Georgiou and Michael on the Shenzhou. Or getting stuck in the Mirror Universe somehow! I also like him bonding with the crew of the Discovery, and I would love to see something with him set in the future that they’re all stuck in now. Again, I also really like all the Star Trek tropes - new planets, crazy alien flora affecting people in strange ways, wacky time/transporter accidents, etc. For shipping I really like him with Michael, Philippa and Pike!
Star Trek: The Original Series
Leonard “Bones” McCoy
I love him, I would love him getting to solve space medical mysteries, or dramatically sacrificing himself to save another member of the crew, or even some random alien he just met. I'd love him getting trapped somewhere, and having to make the best of it, or something with him being thrown back to the Mirror universe! I'd also love anything were he gets some weird alien disease and everyone else has to figure out how to help him while he's out of commission! I'd also love anything with him being kind of messed up from having Spock in his head so many times. I ship him with Spock, Chapel, Uhura, and Kirk (or the Mirror versions of any of those people), and I would love seeing him interact with any of the rest of the crew!
Nyota Uhura
I would love to get her see her use her linguistic skills, or something where she gets to show off her interest in music! I also liked that episode where her memory got wiped and she had to re-learn English from scratch, and I'd love anything that delves into the aftermath of that. I also love her getting to go on away missions and interacting with new kinds of aliens. Or I love her Mirror version, what if she'd been stuck over there? Or what if Mirror Uhura had been stuck in our universe? For shipping, I like her with Chapel, McCoy, Scotty, and Spock, or again any of the Mirror versions of them. For art, I really love the colors of the original series, especially in the uniforms themselves!
Star Wars: Thrawn
Ar’alani
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS UP WITH THE CHISS. All kinds of world building for Ar’alani - why’d she join the fleet, how did she become Admiral, what’s her history with Thrown and what kind of plans do they have for how the Chiss and Empire will interact, does she have a personal connection to the navigators besides seeing them as important to the fleet? What does she think of Thrawn saddling her with Eli and then Brierly? I would also love something with her interacting with her crew, or some kind of battle with the Grysks. I would also love far far future fic, what is the Chiss plan once the Empire collapses on itself? I would also love strife within the Chiss! For ships I like her with Thrawn, Vah’nya, Eli, and Brierly.
Eli Vanto
I would love more scenes of him being the long-suffering-but-also-into-it Watson to Thrawn’s Holmes! Trying to save Thrawn from himself, or dealing with the feeling abandoned when Thrown sends him to the Chiss, or dealing with news of Thrawn’s presumed death. I also would love cultural differences - how Eli’s own worldview shifts, or how he deals with adjusting to life on the Chiss ship. What plans do Thrawn and Ar’alani have for him? What happens to him once the Empire collapses? For ships, I love him with Thrawn, Vah’nya, Ar’alani and Brierly.
